Prague Central Congregation
Annual Holiday August 2009
For the fourth year in a row, Sue and I were invited to be guests at the annual holiday of the Prague Central Congregation. There were more than 100 people at the camp. The weather was perfect, the site a bit remote, but good for fellowship. During the holiday [holiday? what holiday?] our theme was on the Holy Spirit. During this 'holiday' they worked very hard at praising God, studying the word, teaching their children and generally preparing themselves to be a blessing to the city.
The camp was followed up by a preaching engagement in September 2009 with the same group. The key verse was from Acts 18 where God tells Paul not to be afraid, but to preach the word as he has many people in this city. What was true of Corinth is true today in Prague. The needs of both were and are desperate, but these are people who he plans will be reaping the harvest and discipling new believers.
