Most

It was a real joy to revisit the church fellowship in Most this summer 2009. Most, in Northern Bohemia [maps.google.co.uk/maps], means bridge and there was certainly a bridge there reconnecting with old friends. It was so good to renew friendships with quite a lot of people I hadn’t seen for a while and the sight of familiar faces reminded me of good times in the past.

Previously there was a strong emphasis on our work in Northern Bohemia but for various reasons we have been there less of late, so this visit was a real joy. Milan, the pastor has been there a few years now and the church is doing well. They now have their own premises and are already looking to expand.  I was asked for teaching on the Friday and Saturday, mainly on the subject of the Holy Spirit’s person and work. A good number endured that discipline and seem to want to grow in faith and knowledge. As a welcome to me, Milan reminded me of a time when I had prayed for him after a meeting in another town fifteen years ago. He actually said it had changed his life! That was a precious bridge.
