Good Shepherds
The first Potenciál weekend is only a month away! Sue and I spent the last weekend in November planning and praying with Jakub Limr, pastor in Hradec Kralove. Pray that we will be good shepherds who in God’s strength ‘will tend the sheep in a good pasture’. Pray that we will lead our “flock” to ‘lie down in good grazing land where they will feed in a rich pasture’ [Ezekiel 34v14].
Our planning went well and we are excited that we have 37 student applications as we had felt 35-40 was an ideal number. There is a good mixture of denominations, ages, experience, male and female. We just pray that we will be up to it and get these folk envisioned for the Kingdom and released further into their gifts of service. The planning meeting on Saturday was problematic, in that several of the group leaders were struck down with some lurgee (how do you spell that?) and two more left feeling ill during the day. But we soldiered on! Now comes the hard work of getting it all prepared for the launch. I feel we need serious prayer here. This is a wonderful opportunity. At the end of the year we hope to have a community of God’s people who have worked together to develop each other and will always thank Him for what he achieved in 2010 in their lives.
