User-Friendly Bible Study Notes: Mark's Gospel Chapter 1-3v6
Mark’s Gospel contains the good news about Jesus as seen through the eyes of the disciple and apostle Peter. It is thought that Mark took notes from Peter’s preaching and although his writing style can be unrefined, his book is fresh, vibrant and reads like the account of someone who was there.
Attached is a user-friendly Bible study guide on Mark’s gospel to assist leaders with the responsibility for basic teaching. These Bible study notes are also written so that any believer who is keen to understand Jesus better will be able to use them. They have been produced with rural church leaders in Kenya in mind. Some suggestions for teaching methods appear at the end.
Further studies will be provided in due course. In a later section we shall ask, ‘Did Mark make a sudden, embarrassing appearance in his own Gospel?’
Anyone is welcome to use these studies on the strict understanding that no alterations or additions are made to the text without prior written permission from dennisbavister@aol.com
