Trip to the Czech Republic and Ukraine
In November 2009 Dennis travelled to the Czech Republic and the Ukraine to speak at an Apostolic church and also assist in training at a pastors' conference. Please continue to pray that the Lord will give the church shepherds after His own heart, who will lead with knowledge & understanding [Jer 3v15]. His itinerary was as follows:
Thurs 5: Czech Republic
- Fly from Birmingham to Prague. Stay with Martin & Aranka.
- Pray for Dennis & Sue [at home], thanking God for his word; ‘Before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations’ [Jer 1v5].
Fri 6: Czech Republic
- Travel across the country to Ostrava with Martin & Aranka who happen to be visiting close to the town where Dennis is working over the weekend.
- Pray for God’s protection as they travel across the country. Thank God for his power to renew our strength as we trust in Him.
Sat 7 – Sun 8: Czech Republic
- Speaking at the Apostolic Church in Havirov. They have been trying to arrange this weekend for about 18 months! Please explore a Google map of the area: maps.google.co.uk/maps
- Pray that Dennis will be emboldened to go to everyone God sends him to & say whatever God commands him to. Pray that he will not be afraid, for God is with him [Jer 1v7-8].
Mon 9 – Wed 11: Poland & Ukraine
- Train to Katowice then flight to Kiev. Wed take the overnight train to Dnipropetrovs'k area with Rick Thomas from Worcester and a couple of young colleagues. Please explore a Google map of the area: maps.google.co.uk/maps
- Thank God that he is a loving God & has the power to meet our practical needs. Pray that Dennis & Sue [at home] will be able to say ‘I will lie down & sleep in peace, for you alone O Lord, make me dwell in safety’ [Ps 4v8].
Thurs 12- Sun 15: Ukraine
- Giving pastoral training. This was also requested 18 months ago!
- Pray that the Lord ‘will give the church shepherds after His own heart, who will lead with knowledge & understanding’ [Jer 3v15].
Mon 16 England
- Return flight to England. Say Hello to Sue!
- Thank God that ‘a wife of noble character is worth far more than rubies’ [Prov 31v10].
